Do I need an account to explore?

You can read competition information and browse approved business listings without an account. Learning progress and business management require sign-in. Stream may ask you to select a profile before viewing.

Does starting here confirm a competition entry?

No. Learning, watching or creating an account does not enter you into a competition. Check your battle's eligibility, registration dates and entry requirements separately.
